Hello Gildor,

Fantastic piece of software you got there, just what I needed!
It took me a while to get used to the program, but thanks to the topic from sabrewulf I managed to get Lineage 2 files into Milkshape.
I was just wondering; how can I add the L2 textures to the models in Milkshape (like your screenshot examples), how did you do that?
maybe you could add an example tutorial on your site on how to export and texture models like in your screenshots

You must know, which textures are mapped to model. It's slightly compex. Unreal engine have "Shader" class, which is a diffuse material with opacity, self-illumination, specularity and transparency. You should extract diffuse texture name from material.
  • In model viewer, press <M> key - mesh will be highlighted with a different colors, depending on mapped material. Also there will be a list of materials, highlighted with the same color. You should remember this list.
  • Pressing <PgUp>/<PgDown> find mapped materials.
  • In material viewer, press <M> key - material structure will be displayed. Find 'diffuse' texture, remember its name.
  • Browse materials again, find used diffuse textures. Remember their package names.
Now, you can extract these textures. Type something like
Code:
umodel -path=.... -extract  RememberedTexturePackage  RememberedTextureName
for each texture.

I was added command line option "-all". Use it in conjunction with "-export" to extract all linked resources with a single command. I was updated documentation at project page. Quick sample:
Code:
umodel -export -all LineageNPCs2 Pumpkin_Head_man_m00
